Dear Parents,

Jones Middle School now offers text messages, emails, and robocall updates about your child. The messages will be about attendance, school updates, and more. Text messaging and emailing features offer two-way communication, which means you have the ability to text your child’s school back if you have questions or feedback. We hope you take advantage of this safe and secure opportunity to connect with us directly and learn more about your child’s school experience.

Reminder: If you have not already updated your contact information with the main office, please provide your updated phone number or email address as soon as possible.

The text messages can be translated into a language other than English, which means that you can receive and write messages in a language that you are comfortable with. These translations are supported by Google Translator or Microsoft Bing.

You do not need to sign up or log into a website to receive these text messages, emails, or robocalls. While we encourage you to try out this program, we also want you to know that you may opt out of the messages any time. There are no penalties to you or your child if you decide that you do not want to participate.

Here are ways to opt out: 

  1. Via SMS: Write back “STOP” or “wrong number” to a message. Your phone number will be removed from the system. 

  2. Via robocall: Enter # 1 at the conclusion of the robocall.

  3. Via email: Please reply to an email that you receive, and let your school know that you do not wish to receive emails. 

  4. Other options: You may email support@kinvolved.com or Jones Middle School’s administrator to opt out. 

IMPORTANT: If your cell phone plan does not include unlimited texting, you may be charged for receiving these texts from the school district. If you are unsure whether your cell phone plan includes unlimited texting, we suggest you contact your service provider for more information.
