Dear New Haven Families,
We are celebrating Mrs. Lind, speech pathologist, as she is retiring after a long and successful career.
Please see the message below from Mrs. Lind:
Dear New Haven Families,
After 26 wonderful years at New Haven, 28 years with the Boone County Schools, and an overall 36 years working as a Speech-Language Pathologist, when the school year ends, it will be time for me to pack away all my therapy materials and ride off into the sunset…. or at least into a comfy chair with a good book!
While I am thrilled to retire and start my next adventure (which will eventually include a move somewhere into the southern sunshine), I’ll miss your fabulous kids more than I can say. Watching them grow and find their voices has been the absolute best part of my career.
Thank you for sharing your amazing children with me. They’ve made me laugh, kept me on my toes, and reminded me every day why I love this job. Here’s to the future, where every day is casual Friday, the only report to consult is the weather report, and no data documentation is required!
Students who are currently receiving speech/language therapy with me will continue next school year with either Mrs. Jennings, SLP who is already known and loved by my students, or with my replacement, who is bound to be younger and more energetic than me!
I hope you all have a fabulous summer, and best wishes for the future.
Sincerely,
Sue Lind
Speech-Language Pathologist
